Free education for more than 2,000 Children

In most low-income countries, 80% of schools are private and children cannot afford to go to school. Together, we are creating a future where all children have a chance to learn and succeed.

1- ACCESS TO EDUCATION

Tuition fees are a strong barrier to education:

  • Zero tuition fees (for the 2,000 students in Port-au-Prince)

  • Uniforms (3 sets per child)

  • Schools supplies (notebooks, pencils, books ...)

  • Basic school infrastructure (blackboards, benches, tables, light bulbs...)

nutrition PROGRAM

Hunger steals the childhoods of millions of boys and girls. Globally, 45 million children suffer from severe malnutrition.
Our nutrition program at the Foyer Culturel Saint Vincent de Paul has been deeply affected by the recent violence. We are working hard to ensure the nutrition program consistently provides food to our students.

Without proper nutrition, children do no have the ability to act to improve their own lives and learn.

Health and hygiene program

We are teaching children about water, health and hygiene to keep them healthy in school. Healthier kids stay in school longer, attend more regularly, learn more and become more productive adults.

According to the UN, children are frequently too sick to attend school, with a total of 443 million school days lost each year due to water-related diseases.. Through our program we provide children with access to clean water, private bathrooms and good hygiene practises to promote the growth and development of the students. A safe learning environment and knowledge on hygiene are essential for keeping kids healthy, happy and in school.
